Reviews and Opinions

my biggest pet peeve with review sites is they focus on msrp pricing, or the pricing the distillery sells them for. very few bottles are actually available at msrp, so I will be evaluating them at their market value. the other note is, these are not in depth reviews, with tasting notes and bottle biographies. just quick hits for the people that want a little info and insight and want to move on. happy drinking!

Barrell Bourbon Batch 21

Updated: Mar 17, 2023

Barrell Bourbon always fascinated me. If you put 5 of these bottles from different batches next to each other, the colors of 4 of them will look about the same. Yet the flavor profile of each one is markedly different. The profile of this extremely pleasing on the nose with a significant finish.

An MSRP of $89 like all Barrell's batch releases makes this bottle an expensive yet attainable price point. That's being said, they are almost never available for less than $120.

I did really enjoy this bottle and I will continue to do so until it runs out. That being said, I would not spend $120 to buy another one. Instead I'd rather put that towards either another bottle of Barrell or try something new.

All in all it is worth a try for a one off experience.
